fonts-noto software package provides metapackage to pull in all Noto fonts, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.10 (Yakkety Yak) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fonts-noto
fonts-noto is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fonts-noto package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fonts-noto *
You will get with fonts-noto package name, version, architecture and description in a table
